Diary App
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Diary App (the “App”) and any optional support communications you initiate with us. It explains what information we do not collect, how your data is handled on your device, and what limited circumstances may involve third-party services you choose to enable.
2. No Personal Data Collection
• We do not collect, store, or process any personal information.
• We have no visibility into your data, media, tags, or any content you create in the App.
• We do not maintain user accounts or require sign-in.
3. Your Data Stays on Your Device
• By default, all diary content is stored locally on your device or your own iCloud.
• You are in full control of creating, editing, exporting, and deleting your data.
• Uninstalling the App may remove locally stored data from that device. We encourage you to manage backups according to your preferences.
4. Optional Platform Services You Control
Some platform features may be available to enhance your experience. These are strictly optional and under your control:
• System backups or device-to-device transfers: If you use your device’s built-in backup (e.g., iCloud Backup) or migration tools, your data may be included in those backups according to your device settings and Apple’s policies.
• File exports and imports: If you export entries or attachments to files or other apps, those actions are initiated by you and governed by the destination app or service’s policies.
• Permissions (e.g., Photos, Camera, Microphone, Location, Calendars, Notifications): The App requests access only if you choose to use related features. Permission decisions are handled by the operating system and can be changed at any time in device settings. We do not receive or collect this data ourselves.
5. No Sharing or Selling of Data
• We do not collect your data, there is nothing to sell or share.
• We do not share, sell, or disclose your personal information or diary content to anyone.
6. Security
• Your data resides on your device and benefits from the security features provided by your device’s operating system (e.g., passcode, Face ID/Touch ID, device encryption).
• We recommend enabling device-level security features to protect your data from unauthorized access.
7. Children’s Privacy
• We do not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
• If you are a parent or guardian, we encourage you to manage device-level protections and permissions as appropriate.
8. International Transfers
• We do not collect or process personal data on our servers, so there are no international data transfers by us.
• If you choose to use platform services (e.g., device backups) or export your data to third-party services, their policies and data locations may apply.
9. Third-Party Services and Links
• The App may enable you to export data or open links in other apps or services at your discretion. Your use of those services is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
• We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties you choose to use.
10. Changes to This Policy
• If we make changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the “Last Update Date” above.
• Because we do not collect data, any future changes will not retroactively apply to data we never had.
